These courses are designed to introduce and reinforce all of the key concepts, processes, and techniques of audio recording. Our classes are completely hands-on and culminate in YOU engineering recording sessions at GCR with a real band.  Unlike most schools or colleges, our courses have working engineers as the teachers and a professional recording studio as your classroom. The RF101 Course introduces you to the core principles of audio recording. Whether you are a beginner or someone with recording experience, this course lays the groundwork for audio engineering success. You'll learn about the physics of sound, microphones, signal processing, routing, mic placement, editing, automation, and so much more.

RECORDING FUNDAMENTALS II
The RF201 course dives much deeper into the concepts learned in RF101.  You'll further examine signal processing, effects, equalization, dynamic processing, editing, and more. You'll also learn advanced recording techniques, critical listening skills, and mixing techniques.
